arrowVoice Alarm (VA) System

Voice Alarm SystemVoice alarm systems use the spoken work rather than a bell or a siren as a signal for people to evacuate a building in an emergency situation. The most important feature of a VA system is intelligibility, which is given the highest priority in all SKS systems. Another essential feature is Ambient Noise Level Sensing, which measures the noise levels of a building and automatically adjusts the output of the system to ensure that messages can be heard over and above all background noises.

A Built In Redundancy function is a third important feature as it circumvents potential faults and ensures the VA system keeps working in the event of a system failure. The EU standards use the RASTI method as the measurement for intelligibility. SKS uses independent acoustic consultants to confirm that our systems comply with the standards and we will not approve a system until it meets all the standards’ criterion. As our partner company, Bosch makes their extensive resources available to SKS, while we also source product from an international pool to ensure we achieve the best results.
