Use the Backup Search function and make a note of the Camera numbers and the times (five minute segments) that you require. Then starting from the live screen follow the video instructions. The process show is started by inserting the disk, a CD or DVD into the DVR. Most DVR's only take CD-R disks. Dvr's purchased post August 2009 take DVD-R disks. You will know the newer type by the words Super Multi on the door of the disk drive. Pre 2008 DVR's had a Format disk procedure before the download space was made available to you and you could then see a value in the righthand box in the download interface. While in the early DVR models this disk Format procedure was quiet involved it was soon replaced with a progress display that requires no user input. All of those procedures ended with a blank white page been displayed on the screen. The post 2008 DVR requires no intervention in order to Format the disk it simply shows the value available as soon as you insert the disk. In all cases it is best to be patient and and wait approx one minute after inserting the disk into the DVR before you access the download interface. |
