Criminal Courts Complex

SKS were responsible for the design, supply and commissioning of the Voice Evacuation, Sound Reinforcement and Audio Frequency Induction Loop systems for the Criminal Courts Complex, Infirmary Road, Dublin 8. These systems include:

• A Distributed Voice Evacuation System connected throughout the building in a redundant fiber optic ring configuration.
• Twenty two Courtroom Sound Reinforcement Systems including microphones, amplifiers and loudspeakers and interfaces with courtroom technologies such as evidence display and Digital Audio Recording.
• Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems for the deaf and hard of hearing. These include conventional induction loop systems for the public areas and counters and also infra red type systems in areas such as the courtrooms where confidentiality is required.

There are in excess of 1,000 loudspeakers and 300 microphones along with their associated control equipment and interfaces to third party systems in this building. SKS were responsible for the system design ensuring performance and adherence to specification and standards. These systems were commissioned by SKS and were handed over early and completely satisfied the performance specification. Other Courts that we have supplied and support Sound Reinforcement, Voice Evacuation and Induction Loop Systems for include: The Four Courts, Phoenix House, Public Records Building, Chancery Place Courthouse, Chancery Street Courthouse, Áras Uí Dhálaigh, Swords, Balbriggan, Arklow, Gorey, Dundalk, Thurles, Limerick Circuit, Limerick District, Ennis, Castlebar, Washington Street Cork, Cloverhill amongst others.
